Heart to Heart

The Seventh-day Adventist church provided a relatively early response to the HIV and AIDS pandemic in our Conference through the Adventist Youth Heart to Heart Ministry.

While many organizations sought to commence education drives about HIV/AIDS, Adventist Youth began to train and deploy persons to do Home Base Care to persons living with HIV and AIDS since 1990.

This remains our primary service, but Heart to Heart Ministry has also added education with an emphasis on abstinence through the programme “Stay In the Game” in conjunction with the youth group, Youth Alive.
