A Club for Everyone
Any one may become a member of a club. Pathfinders is an action-packed programme for 10 - 16 year olds which is educational in areas of life-skills, hobbies, developing a firm Christian foundation, and just having good fun. Activities range from such things as swimming, camping, arts and crafts, cooking, and hiking, to community aid activities, devotional times, and discussions on Christian principles. How you can benefitThere are regular camps which the children can attend, both at the local church level and at a national level, which teach survival skills, teamwork, and an awareness of our natural heritage. Scores of prepared special interest activities are also available where pathfinders are able to focus on interest areas that appeal to them. Pathfinders is a worldwide program organised and directed by the Youth Ministries Department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that offers a wide range of learning experiences designed to shape positive values and enable young people to reach their full potential. The course offers six levels for the children to work through, with one last level designed for those who would like to be involved in Pathfinder leadership. Who can join a clubPathfinders is all about involvement. If you are aged between 10 and 16 (or in Years 5 - 10 or the equivalent) then you will not want to miss out on all the fun. If you are older, inquire about becoming an instructor in various activities or becoming a unit leader. Please contact your local church pathfinder leader if you would like to join up, and see your local Adventist church for Service and Meeting Times for information on upcoming Pathfinders meetings and events.
